My interpretation is that the boy was always alone as a child because when the boy and the doll were sitting beside near each other, , he didn't look that happy. He had only that doll and no other friends. When he finally made friends someone, that long-haired girl beside him, he didn't need an inanimate thing to keep him company anymore. The doll smiled
she puts up the toys that he doesn't play with anymore because he is not a child anymore, and she crawls into the box with them, since she is one of them. very sad. D:

hmm that seems quite possible, but in the video there's a flashback ( to 3
) so it isn't possible for the girl to be hes friend or something. what i think is that the doll has feelings of its own, just like a human and hence why she turned into a human girl. :
