My interpretation is that the boy was always alone as a child because when the boy and the doll were sitting beside near each other, , he didn't look that happy. He had only that doll and no other friends. When he finally made friends someone, that long-haired girl beside him, he didn't need an inanimate thing to keep him company anymore. The doll smiled

hmm that seems quite possible, but in the video there's a flashback ( to 3
) so it isn't possible for the girl to be hes friend or something. what i think is that the doll has feelings of its own, just like a human and hence why she turned into a human girl. :
