English Translation of Matthew’s After-Show Talk (from ):Thank you for watching. That was my vocal cover of “Hyaku Juu Go Man Kilo No Film” (Movie film in the length of 1,150,000 km) by OFFICIALHIGEDANDISM!I did know of this song for a long time. But I didn’t really have an opportunity to listen to the entire song. You know that happens. If you miss listening to a standard number or a popular number, then you’d go on missing it for a long time, on and on and on... Timing is lost, and it gets so far away from you. Like, about 1,150,000 km of distance between the song and me! I thought I’d lost the chance to listen to it fully. But on this occasion, I run for 1,150,000 km and got it this time! Joking aside, this is a truly good song. When I finally listened to it in full, I was so moved I got shivers all over my body. You know, at first, I wondered what “1,150,000 kilo” meant, and thought it represented weight, thinking isn’t 1,150,000 kg too heavy a love?It turns out it meant length, so it was kilometers. So, if you have a film in length of 1,150,000 km, you can film 80 years’ worth of footage. So, if you assume that one’s lifetime spans for 80 years, then, 1,150,000 km of film can shoot a one’s lifetime. The protagonist is saying that “I’m going to shoot a film of your lifetime at your side.” It’s such a beautiful title of a song. Well, I knew you knew that before I told you. (Mattew laughs.) HIGEDAN’s songs have these nice metaphors like this one. Great song titles. For example, I did a vocal cover before of their “MIXED NUTS”. The title Mixed Nuts also had double, triple meanings behind it. I was really impressed. Fujiwara-san of HIGEDAN is really a superman, isn’t he? What a splendid composer he is ... I’m thinking of covering other songs of HIGEDAN in the future, too. I hope you could look out for it.AND! (A beating sound is heard to change the tone of the talk.)I’m sorry I haven’t been able to upload any videos lately. Listen, I do have a reason. I wasn’t being lazy or anything!! At the end of May, I’m going to be in a play. I’ve been rehearsing for it for the past month or so. It’s been very hectic. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to do my vocal cover videos. If you are only following me on YouTube, then “I don’t care if you are doing a play or whatever, huh!” Maybe there are people like that out there. But, oh, please don’t say that. A person can do a variety of activities, right? Please! Cut me some slack! So, like I told you, I will be acting in a play. I put down the URL for the reservation of the play, so if you are interested, come see me act! (Caption says: Matthew will be in an adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” at Shinjuku Puku Puppet Theater from May 24-28.) (*Translator’s Note: It’s not a puppet show. Matthew will be acting in person.) From May 24th to 28th, I will be on stage acting in a theater in Shinjuku, Tokyo. I think it would be lovely if you guys could shoot a part of my life, my going on a stage as an actor, using 1,150,000 km of film. If you have a song of OFFICIAL HIGEDANDISM that you want to recommend, or “Oh, I like the theater! I really love the cinema!” Then please recommend your favorite movie or play in the Comments below. That would make me very happy. - 115万キロのフィルム/Official髭男dismを歌ってみた- ver.ましゅー¦Hyaku Juu Go Man Kilo No Film

Translation of Matthew’s After-Show Chat (from )Thank you for watching. That was my vocal cover of “Mellow” by Keina Suda. It’s a super good tune, isn’t it? This is a theme song to the TV anime “Skip and Loafer”. I didn’t know about this story “Skip and Loafer”. I didn’t know anything about it, but I like Keina Suda a lot, so I thought, if he wrote the theme song to it, I should watch the anime! So, while I was preparing to shoot this videoclip, I played the anime on the side and watched it. You know what? This heroine, Mitsumi-chan, I was glancing at it on the side, so I was only getting half the information, but she is so interesting... she made me smile. I don’t usually watch anima or read manga depicting daily lives. But if I once get into one of them, I go deep, and read them at once. At the beginning of the TV seasons, I sample lots of them and decide if I like to go on watching them or maybe this one is not for me, etc., etc., I find this season is offering a lot of interesting anime. I’m thinking of covering other anime theme songs, too. If you have some anime or manga you would like to recommend that is depicting ordinary daily lives, could you share them in the comments below? Maybe your recommendation from the Spring 2023 season. That would be very nice. Please Subscribe, Like and turn on the Bell for notification, if you liked my video. I hope to see you next time. I’m Matthew. Bye-bye. - 【TVアニメ「スキップとローファー」OP】メロウ/須田景凪を歌ってみた- ver.ましゅー¦Mellow
