This song is the opening theme to the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury”, the latest Gundam. In my childhood, I didn’t watch any of the Gundam anime. When I grew up, I did watch some of them, not in sequence, though. “The Witch from Mercury” has a strong school drama side to it. The image I have for Gundam is that of wars. The first Gundam is exactly that, and Gundam SEED is the same in that sense. But this time, the story has school drama aspects. It’s not dark and somber. I don’t know how the story develops from here, but so far, it’s more approachable and easier to watch, I think. And it’s very intriguing. The reason why I avoided Gundam without really trying them was because I thought the stories would be very dark and serious. That’s why I haven’t watched many of them. But if you start watching from this one, if you are new to Gundam world, it might be easy to get into the story. In my mind, it feels different from past Gundam. I find it interesting. If you haven’t watched it yet, I recommend that you do. I mean, Gundam is so cool. The XVX-016 Gundam Aerial. Yes. Aerial is really cool. For your information, this song The Blessing was written based on a novel “Cradle Star”. But I heard that the novel is written from the point of view of Aerial. I haven’t read it yet. When I think of these background stories when I sing it, it moves me so much, it makes me cry. You know what I mean.
