♥♥ Translation of After-Show Chat by Matthew （from ）Thank you for watching! That was my cover of “Kareshi no Jude” (Jude the Boyfriend) by syudou-san. Now, I have covered a number of songs about menheras. (*See note.) Every time, I talked about my experiences with menhera individuals. There was this girl I used to go out with. She’d demand me to drive her home at four o’clock in the morning. I hated to get that request, I mean, it’s about four in the morning. So, I’d gently ask her “Can I just get a little sleep before driving you?” But she’d go “No!! I wouldn’t have that, no!” So, I give up and drove her home every time. One day, she asked me again to drive her home. So, I conceded and went. I was able to somehow get her home. But I was extremely sleepy that day. On the way home, I felt like I was dying. But I had some engagement from noon, so I had to get home. So, I drove in that slumbering state. Resisting sleepiness, thinking I’d die if I dozed off. But humans can’t beat sleepiness. I lost consciousness for a split second. The next second I woke. I did wake instantly. But when I woke, there was this traffic signal pole flashing right in front of my eyes. I went “Ahhhhhh!” Panicked, I turned the wheel and succeeded in avoiding collision with the pole. But when I did that, I think the left front wheel went over the side strip of where that traffic pole was mounted. My car tilted in the angle of 45 degrees. I thought I was going to die. In a haste, I turned the steering wheel for just a bit. Not by much, if I did that I’d bump into the other side. I was able to get my car straight up somehow. I thought “That was close!!” But, the impact of that landing made the tire go burst. It punctured. So, I had to pay for the repair of the tire. Almost got killed, too. That’s my story of going out with a menhera girlfriend. Everyone, be aware of menheras.Now, this song is related to syudou-san’s previous work “Cute na Kanojo” (Cute Girlfriend). The protagonists in Cute na Kanojo and Kareshi no Jude would be typical menheras.He didn't mention it in this talk, but reportedly, he typically worked a night shift on a job before driving her home. So, he didn't have a wink to sleep.

I always loved Tsumiki-san, but this INAZMA (lightning), you’d get electro-shocked! And this vocalist, Miki Maria-san. Her vocals fit Tsumiki-san’s song so well, I LOVE it!! (He didn’t vocalize “fit” but showed it by gesture, overcoming with emotions.) (He laughs.)Now, I can’t eat melon, because I’m allergic to it. Plus, I don’t like lemons very much. She drops one of the slippers at the stairs, and the Prince Charming picks it up and all the fuss begins. I think if you run fast with glass slippers on, your feet would hurt a lot. I think it will be super painful. And since the slippers are made of glass, your toes would be visually exposed. If you were an uncle and if you had athlete's foot, your secret will be out! So, I think it is quite risky to wear glass slippers. In that regard, too, I think Cinderella is admirable. Do you have any trivial knowledge you can share about Cinderella? I suppose it’s hard to hold one this year, so, many towns and villages are refraining from having one, I guess. I don’t have a lot of memories I can recall of going to a summer festival. If I had to share my memory, I might have one from my junior high days. I went to a town festival with some of my friends from my school basketball team. When you get to the festivities, you’d encounter other friends from your class. You’d pass by each other and go “Oh, you guys came, too?” Among those we passed by, there was this girl I had a crush on at that time. I went “Woo” in my mind when I passed her, but I noticed that there was this man standing beside her, and I also had to notice that she was holding hands firmly with this dude. Just like that I found out that she had a boyfriend. That’s my sad memory of a summer festival… I think it actually occurred; I think. I just have too many painful memories from junior high, so I’m not totally sure which one really happened and which one didn’t, they are getting mixed up in my mind, it seems. It’s “phony”. Exactly. It’s scary I might be fabricating sad memories in my mind. (Matthew chuckles.)
