And it seems like he uses others to cope, as he was used too (“and since even that 'anyone' didn't choose me, I hide my tears and get even more drunk”), also, he states that “if I don't drink, tomorrow won't come. I hate it, another drink”, so it's an addiction that is his only way of living, sacrificing his “money, time, and my liver”. He also has a fear of being lonely (“I'll be kind, so please don't leave me alone”), and in minute his sleeve is rolled back, and there are what seems to be cuts in his arm (correct me if I'm wrong, but it does seem like self h4rm scars to me), and it would make sense, since he has a clear cynical and negative view on everything, but very self-aware that he lies in love too, and talking about the other people in the bar as “drunken fools”, or saying that people there “hunt down gentle lies like animals” and are hypocrites, and he hates living like that.But then he realizes that, he is also part of the problem, he was part of the hypocrites, as all he did was get drunk to avoid pain. That's where “call-girl” appears, and he says “before I die, another drink”, so he most likely died form alcohol intoxication, after being confronted by “call-girl” (she pours a drink in his face, but he's still alive in the beginning of the song while nose bleeding, so probably he didn't die immediately).So I think that It was only fake love made from two people that where emotionally unstable, they used each other, the girl used him to feel like she could connect whit someone that understood how she was feeling, as she saw herself in him (they are very similar), and he used her to ease his abandonment issues.

The girl is not mentally stable since she mentions multiple worrying things such as wanting to be killed and harming herself. Coincidence or not at of Bad Person we get a confirmation of the connection between these songs since the boy from this song clearly appears there.The boy... the boy is an alcoholic who is going out with multiple girls at once for self-pleasure and sex. He is a disturbing character; he looks down on others in the clubs/bars but acknowledges that he is scooping to their level. He acknowledges his alcohol and relationship problems but the way he handles it is by taking more alcohol. Even when he tried to stop, he attempted it with the wrong people, he opened up to people who took his desperate attempt at salvation lightly, which in turn made him even more vulnerable to his previous behavior.Another major point of interest is that we get a lot of shots of a bar tender in the Bad Person MV. Perhaps he is aware of the state she is in. There is also a shot of her crying in his arms. The Bartender is most likely close to the girl not only because of that but also because there was a scene where the two of them looked younger and the girl was clinging to his arm. The bartender was talking to some girl in that scene, although she has some similarities to the girl from Call Girl, I do not think they are the same, the girl from Call Girl seems much more petit.My theory is that the bar tender talked the girl into harming him because he felt pity for her as a friend or even family member. In most scenes with him as an adult he looks very serious and dangerous, especially in the scenes where it shows a close up of his eyes (The best comparison I can think of is the Priest from Tokyo Ghoul just more calm and serious looking)Finally, I must talk about Call Girl, it has some similarities that I will cover during this part and at the end as part of an info dump. As I said earlier, I do not think this girl is either the girl who attacked the boy from this video nor the girl the bartender was talking to. I will go at some point through all the Syudou songs and update this accordingly. Currently my theory is that the girl is in the video is representing the boys sensitive side, they both talk about how they want to explain themselves, though the girl specifies that she is anxious about talking about it, and needs to be asked and she'll tell anything about her. She also talks about loving someone and that they might understand someday what that love is, if my theory is true this could fit to the boy who although goes out with multiple girls does that as a way to distract himself from his problems though he truly loves only one.That is it... for now! Update about the girl at the end: I saw a theory about the lore of this song, but it is outdated. A new song came out from Mr. Syudou a few months ago called Bad Person clarifying that it is definitely not the girl from the song Call Girl that killed or at least harmed the Boy at the end of the MV, instead it is the girl we see at . She is the protagonist of the song Bad Person and sings about abuse and desperation of love that got her into a toxic relationship. There are some more similarities like the broken phone we see at the end of this MV appears at the start of Bad Person and more which I will touch on later.

I think it's from the girl at the end. The one pouring alcohol over him? My theory is that he slept with that girl and got her pregnant. If you squint at the scene where she's pouring alcohol over him, she looks like she's pregnant. I think she texted him at that point to tell him that she was pregnant, and that she was going to make him pay for ruining her life. Notice at he has a bloodied nose and he looks like he's shielding himself from something. I think the girl started to beat him with the intent to kill him. But she didn't need to do much since the alcohol got him. And as symbolism she tipped a shot he never finished over his face and then left him there.
there are many lines when you can hear his deeper voice layered underneath the floatier main vocal.... he's done this in old covers and i love how he weaves it in. to me, it almost feels like a fourth wall break? like when he does it in maretu covers sometimes too. it's like , here's my delicate voice i'm performing to you, but the real me is underneath and trying to escape

In it is written in the background "Juliette ou les prospérites du vice" (Juliette, or vice amply rewarded), it's a book by The Marquis de Sade. I haven't read it, but it is about two sisters, one virtuous and one not, and their lives. The general point of the book is that the virtuous sister, Justine, lived a life full of miseries and hardships, while Juliette, who was amoral and a murderer, lived a succesfull life full of happiness. Not sure if anyone mentioned this: in you can see some France/German. "Einige psychische Folgen des anatomischen Geschlechtsunterschieds" (Some Psychical Consequences of the Anatomical Distinction between the Sexes) a writing by Sigmund Freud who formulated theories such as the Oedipus complex and much more. You probably know him! Anyways, the writing mentioned in the MV exhibits Freud's "image of women" and "female sexuality" and at some point he describes a "Penis envy" and "Castration anxiety". It's way too much and complex for me to grasp it completely, so I'm just leaving it here for the smart people to do whatever they want with that information haha! I think i'ts very fitting to the theories of this MV :)

This song seems to be about a trans woman/non binary person. There's several texts in the MV pointing to this such as the German text at which is cut off, but can be roughly translated to:"....readings to introduction into psychoanalysissome psychological consequences of the anatomical Gender difference...symbols of change."Along with just the general lyrics about how they feel like they need to "pretend to be a boy in front of you" and also the very obvious lines like "X or Y.." "Do not be afraid, a Wide Variety of Genders." "Keeping the deviant gender secret." "Nobody knows, I don't want anybody to know under my skin." "For unrelated people I am a villain." and so on...Note how they never really specifically talk about any sort of special person, in general they mean that's how they have to act towards "normal people" in society. That along with the visual symbolism of how they switch between hair colors to show how they change genders when needed. At the start of the MV, their hair is red symbolizing female colors, but notice how there's smudges of blue blood/paint on their face as well. When they say the "pretend to be a boy in front of you" line instead they smear the blue blood/paint into their hair to symbolize how they are presenting as a male at that time. That coupled with the stop and go sign also showing how they switch between the genders whenever they need to. They're a "Mr. Crazy Villain Villain" because that's what society sees them as, they don't look at them as the gender or lack thereof that they want to be presented as, but only as some delusional freak, a villain.

haven't seen anyone mention this yet but at when the word for 'villain' appears over the protagonist's face, it's done in such a way that it very specifically censors the blue stain on the corner of their mouth as well as the tear mark on their cheek. basically symbolizing how, when labeling someone a villain, society purposefully ignores the signs of any suffering they may be going through (edit: fixed the timestamp)

just an example of the reasons why i believe this is a gay trans ftm person : ''Keeping my deviated nature (gender) a secret again'' the person in the mv is wearing boy clothing presenting themselves as a more masculine person. so if they are keeping their gender at birth a secret ( female ) then it makes sense because they're presenting themself as a man. that's just a small example of why i believe that :) ocean eyes ;; in the comments did a good job at giving other reasons :)
I think the illustration of a fish () in an aquarium refers to the fact that some species of fish change sex when they need to. This is considered the norm, the law of nature. But for people who also need to change their sex, consider themselves someone else, most still treat as abnormal.

And as another commenter already mentioned; In Japan a lot of the time red is associated with girls and blue is associated with boys. Basically showing that he is a boy, trapped inside a girls body. i looked into ranpo edogawa a bit and found out he was one of the earlier japanese writers that portrayed homosexuality in his writings! he did lots of research about same sex love in history and stories and thought it needed to be better understood. not sure if that was the reference the lyrics were making but thought that was a cool thing anyways!
