I'm not too sure about what happened at but, it could be Tamo trying to kill Yota or,( the more reasonable explanation) Tamo's first attempt to kill himself which failed as someone or, Tamo stopping himself from ending his own life.The story is the same for Tamo, who equally seeks a bond but, also doesn't want to get close to Yota, as they already lost someone prior.

Then we cut to . It turned into a different perspective from behind Toma. It revealed that Toma was holding a knife on his left hand while comforting Yota with his right hand.Then we got the eyes looking down. This is Toma's eyes as Toma looked down on the cryin Yota.Combined with the two graves that Toma dug later on and Toma eventual suicide, I think the scene was Toma contemplating to murder-suicide both himself and Yota. To end their shared sad and lonely life. But in the end, Toma can't take away Yota life as he looked down at the boy, an innocent and pure boy as the lyric said. So he can't do it.

Edit: at he's showing his face with a truly happy look on his face, only to get crushed. I think this shows what he's truly afraid of, being vulnerable again only to get crushed. Even though their friendship was superficial, he actually did grow attached to Yota. So when he was taken away, he did in fact feel the pang of loneliness again. No wanting to go through the same thing again, he made a decision. The only way he could feel that happiness was to take matters into his own hands, only truly show himself in the moment before his death. There's no rejection after the fact then. No crushing of his emotions, no nothing. Even though Yota managed to escape his loneliness, Tamo couldn't.
