Translation of Matthew’s after-song talk (It begins at )Thank you for watching. That was my cover version of Cute na Kanojo / Cute Girlfriend by syudou. Now, what do you guys think of “menhera*”? Well? This isn’t about menhera or something like that, but… I used to go out with this girl. After we broke up, it appears that she kept in touch with my mother for a while without my knowing. When I realized what was going on, my mom was almost persuaded into taking a part in a shady multi-level marketing scheme. Isn’t that pretty scary, don’t you think? Do you guys have any scary episode like that you could share? If you do, please let me know in the comment section, and I will read it with a smile on my face. Please Subscribe, Like and Click on the Bell so that you won’t miss my uploads. I’m Matthew. Until next time, bye-bye. Everyone, please watch out for lure of multi-level marketing, ok?*Translator’s Note:“Menhera” is a term widely used in Japan depicting a mentally unstable person. A menhera is not necessarily clinically mentally ill. It is used more broadly and loosely, often times as a somewhat favorable fashion to some. Typical characteristics would be mood swings and insecurity over his/her loved one’s not reciprocating their love, much like the protagonist of this song.Matthew captioned this video describing himself as a “menhera magnet.” In the description section, he says it was the result of him brought up by his parents to be always nice to girls. Today, he learned not to tolerate unreasonable behaviors of others. He says in the pinned comment that he has no problem with a menhera person but does not wish to deal with people who doesn’t practice common courtesy. He says all of this rather jokingly, though.
