I suppose it’s hard to hold one this year, so, many towns and villages are refraining from having one, I guess. I don’t have a lot of memories I can recall of going to a summer festival. If I had to share my memory, I might have one from my junior high days. I went to a town festival with some of my friends from my school basketball team. When you get to the festivities, you’d encounter other friends from your class. You’d pass by each other and go “Oh, you guys came, too?” Among those we passed by, there was this girl I had a crush on at that time. I went “Woo” in my mind when I passed her, but I noticed that there was this man standing beside her, and I also had to notice that she was holding hands firmly with this dude. Just like that I found out that she had a boyfriend. That’s my sad memory of a summer festival… I think it actually occurred; I think. I just have too many painful memories from junior high, so I’m not totally sure which one really happened and which one didn’t, they are getting mixed up in my mind, it seems. It’s “phony”. Exactly. It’s scary I might be fabricating sad memories in my mind. (Matthew chuckles.)
