The song follows him during his journey through a beautiful bamboo forest (bamboo is famous for growing very fast, but it’s easy to cut it down, maybe it symbolizes how far the guy had gone into the wilds of hatred, but all the hatred comes out not because he’s bad but because he’s insure). The guy, however, sees no forest: there is a scene () where we see the world from his point of view. He only sees the back of the gone girl, he tries hard to achieve her level, but he fails unless he gets rid of the fish-like staff on his back (obviously his parasite – complex).Later, when he comes out of the forest and looks into the sky (light and happy future), the girl is standing there, but he goes by without noticing her, and her face looks surprised to me. The reason is that he has become more pure than she is; he has expiated the sin of jealousy and overcome his complexes, he is able to move further even without her, while she didn’t even realize that she was the only he was so out of his mind.To cut it short, she was a little pure girl (in soul, that’s got nothing to do with age) and he was jealous of her purity (which was probably a result of irresponsibility, who knows) but then he grew up, became more sympathetic and understood life better, and so he became pure as well.That is just my opinion based on how I understand the lyrics, I guess the author meant something different lol. Also that’s been 606 words so far (I have a word counting app, I didn’t count by myself, I’m not that bored yet) – I wish I could make my school writing tasks that long.Thanks for reading!
