Translation of Matthew’s after-song chat: (from )Thank you for watching my video. The video you just watched is my cover of Bakushou (laughter) by syudou-san. Do you guys like Japanese stand-up comedians? I love them. When I was in elementary school, I wasn’t able to make my friends laugh at my jokes, at all. I hated it. So, I studied comedies very hard. By studying I mean I watched a lot of variety shows on TV and observed how talk show hosts control the floor, how that conversation ended up so funny because of what he said in the beginning, etc., etc. Wow, how amazing, I thought. When you watch variety shows on TV or videos on YouTube, you would realize that a single conversation or a short video is packed with so many skills and techniques. That’s right. Aren’t the entertainers amazing? I think it’s the toughest thing to make people laugh. It’s the most difficult endeavor to make people laugh their heads off. And to think that comedians make it their job. Imagine that. I think they are truly incredible, don’t you? Do you have any favorite comedians? I’d be happy to read it in the comment section below. Please subscribe, like and press the bell button so that you won’t miss my uploads. Thank you for your time. I hope to see you next time. I’m Matthew. Bye-bye.
