♥ Translation of Matthew’s Chat after the Show (from )Thank you for watching. That was my cover of “Taisho Romance” by YOASOBI-san.I find fashions from the Meiji and Taisho eras are really cute, don’t you agree? How can I explain? I think that integration of Japanese kimono and western clothing, hybrid of Japanese and western cultures resulted in quite a success. I came to appreciate it by listening to this song and watching the original MV. By the way, the original MV is out of this world, isn’t it? Anyway, I thought Taisho fashion is so adorable by watching the MV. My knowledge of Taisho fashion, or should I say Taisho romance, is rather shallow. If any of you is a fan of the Taisho era things, could you tell me about its greatness in the Comments? That would be very nice. Please Subscribe, Like and Click on the Bell so that you won’t miss my uploads. Thank you for your time. I’m Matthew. Until next time, bye-bye. This sleeve of kimono is very handy, you can put little items in there, I like it.
♥♠ Translation of Matthew’s After-Show Chat (from )Thanks for watching. That was my cover of “Apathy” by ano-san.Aren’t the creators who participated in making the original MV of this song absolute superstars? I mean, they are Ano-chan, Hiiragi Kirai-san, WOOMA-san, and Ishida Sui-san, the author of manga “Tokyo Ghoul”. I don’t have any clue how they came together at all. But it’s an ultimate gathering of superstars of the darkness, isn’t it? This is just like the realm of the dead. I had the honor of participating in this endeavor as a representative of “menhera magnets” as well as a representative of menhera people. (See note for “menhera”.) No, I wouldn’t say participate, I am like the stone bearer of a pyramid building. A lowly servant. Yes. I’m just so happy to be able to take a small part by covering the song.If you could share the name of your favorite creator, or give your feedback of this videoclip in the Comments, I would be very happy. Thank you.If you liked my video, please Subscribe, Like and Click on the Bell for future notification of my uploads. Thank you for your time. I’m Matthew. Until next time, bye-bye.♣ Translator’s Note: The term “menhera” is a Japanese slang loosely used to depict moody or needy individuals who are not necessarily clinically mentally ill.

♥♥ Translation of After-Show Chat by Matthew (from )Thank you for watching! That was my cover of “Kareshi no Jude” (Jude the Boyfriend) by syudou-san. Now, I have covered a number of songs about menheras. (*See note.) Every time, I talked about my experiences with menhera individuals. There was this girl I used to go out with. She’d demand me to drive her home at four o’clock in the morning. I hated to get that request, I mean, it’s about four in the morning. So, I’d gently ask her “Can I just get a little sleep before driving you?” But she’d go “No!! I wouldn’t have that, no!” So, I give up and drove her home every time. One day, she asked me again to drive her home. So, I conceded and went. I was able to somehow get her home. But I was extremely sleepy that day. On the way home, I felt like I was dying. But I had some engagement from noon, so I had to get home. So, I drove in that slumbering state. Resisting sleepiness, thinking I’d die if I dozed off. But humans can’t beat sleepiness. I lost consciousness for a split second. The next second I woke. I did wake instantly. But when I woke, there was this traffic signal pole flashing right in front of my eyes. I went “Ahhhhhh!” Panicked, I turned the wheel and succeeded in avoiding collision with the pole. But when I did that, I think the left front wheel went over the side strip of where that traffic pole was mounted. My car tilted in the angle of 45 degrees. I thought I was going to die. In a haste, I turned the steering wheel for just a bit. Not by much, if I did that I’d bump into the other side. I was able to get my car straight up somehow. I thought “That was close!!” But, the impact of that landing made the tire go burst. It punctured. So, I had to pay for the repair of the tire. Almost got killed, too. That’s my story of going out with a menhera girlfriend. Everyone, be aware of menheras. Now, this song is related to syudou-san’s previous work “Cute na Kanojo” (Cute Girlfriend). I covered the song before. So, if you’d like, please check that out too. I pasted the link in the Description. (It's the first link.) I’d be very grateful if you could go listen to it, too. Thank you. Please Subscribe, Like and Click on the Bell if you liked my video. I look forward to see you again. I’m Matthew. Bye-bye.♥ Translator’s Note: “Menhera” is a term loosely used to depict moody or needy individuals, who are not necessarily clinically mentally ill. The protagonists in Cute na Kanojo and Kareshi no Jude would be typical menheras. He didn't mention it in this talk, but reportedly, he typically worked a night shift on a job before driving her home. So, he didn't have a wink to sleep.
