The 'mother' featured throughout the song is a representation of society's expectations, and the food can be seen as the rules society pushes on children in order to get them to conform/grow up. You see at when the 'mother' first serves him food he looks repelled but by

ALSO: there is a lot of symbolism in this music video. while he is spinning on top of the plate, i think it reflects how vulnerable children are if they dont "grow up" youre going to be "eaten" if you dont live up to certain standards and apply a mental barrier.. just as he is being "fed" these expectations being forced to adapt and change. "just eat it all and dont say a word" "you gotta fix your picky eating habits" could be taken literally, as a part of growing up but also as a metaphor for obeying and not questioning what youre being told. To not have a mind of your own and just do as your told. and this is just me digging in even further but, the color orange often represents youth, to be energetic, happy and spontaneous.. the protagonist is seen orange in color most of the video. however, at the the color shifts to a turquoise, when he has "finally grown up" at

well I guess the some talks about maturity in general: and how a child need to learn a lot of rules to fit in the world of grown up and cover his true nature that will never be accepted, we can see through the song that the boy gets "mature" through changing who he (his color changes from orange that symbolize joy and happiness to black which is empty of colors, without emotions but also holds power and mysterious) as he goes through the rules of life and learn to put on a "bitter choco decoration" and to wipe out his emotions ,

When the boy asks the mother at "By the way, have we met before?" This was close to the beginning of the song when he was still considered a naiive child who hadn't yet conformed to the rules of society. Whilst he'd likely seen these societal norms around him he'd never experienced the pressures and demands of it personally. So whilst the boy hadn't 'met' the women before but she was definitely familiar to him.

this is about changing yourself to be a shell, such that no one can question you solely living for the purpose of pleasing others. to me symbolizes, the thoughts we have but we leave unsaid only to not cause problems even over such a small thing like asking someone if you've met before..

2番目

"and to not talk about myself so that people wont know too much about me" reflects the isolation of ones self to make life easier, so that you don't get caught up in problems. continuing on to

reinforcing the idea of pleasing others "but i also musnt keep my mouth completey shut, and being laughed at than making people laugh" meaning, it almost seems there no winning.. you try to be quiet but being quiet is not a way to win either. ultimately the only way to "win" or "grow up" is to live to please others and completely rip your personality apart. "at times that lonely love would taint you" i feel like this part of the song it delving more into adult relationships possibly within the working environment, the "love" you share is often only for the purpose of pleasing others, leaving you feeling empty and tainted, having to give up that pure honest part of yourself. i dont think this song is about grooming at all but rather the expectations of the "adult world" and not being able to live in it without accepting these parts of it, completely changing yourself and losing a lot of joy... especially in japan where respect is such a huge thing nothing like what it is in america.. in

he gives into the pressures and starts feasting upon these social norms, conforming to them and sacrificing his real personality in order to fit in.

see how that person feeding the orange guy has the blue underneath their mask thing, it’s the same blue that the orange guy gets at the end. Meaning he is now one of them, also the scene where the orange lights change to that blue represents others slowly changing too. Changing into what? I’m sure you can find other theories on that in the comments

Especially in this part, where everything is feeling like a mess. Here, he's seen finishing his food and gulping down the wine but hunching over in the end. He's so sick of it but he had to force everything down his throat because you gotta make sure to not upset the host (that woman), right? Just swallow it up and don't say anything back.

Is it just me or does give anyone else 'two-faced lovers' vibes too?

When O begins to feel bad at , M appears to be comforting him. Dunno if that's relevant, but that's there.EDIT: It appears M isn't comforting O, but is actually proud of him. Saying stuff like "You know, considering this is your first time, and you can already do this, you must have a knack for this!".

it goes on to say "I had such grand ideas at the beginning.. always talking big but now no often means yes. " again, showing the ridiculousness of what is it to be considered mature. its taught to us that we need to put other above ourselves when kind things are given to us, we reject to be humble, when compliments are given to us we reject to be humble and adult like. in

i'm sure after hearing this for the nth time that this song is all about "wanting to grow up" if you know what I mean. the boy clearly wanted to "grow up" thus making the decision to have s*x with a woman who was a groomer. I knew my thought was right when to

At the lyrics and tone reminds me of Renai Circulation

Did anyone notice that from you can hear an homage Renai circulation ("yokubari circulation" swapped for "bitter choco decoration" ) I swear once you hear it, you can't unhear it

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the nod to Renai Circulation here

Ok so no one's gonna talk about how sounds like renai circulation?

i really like this part ughhhhh

is like renai circulation but it's a horror movie

just gonna leave it here for future reference don't mind me

showed up. Those words are definitely suspicious already, those words are an indication that some definitely happened between them, and the boy regrets his decision.

Fairly sure the doors at are actually the lobby of a love hotel, and also around

i know this is a late reply but theres also issues about rape and bottling in molestation.....like in and onward a love hotel is shown and the phrase "no means yes"is term used when theres molestation involved....so the main character got molested and was also forced to become an "adult"...as an interpretation

koisuru kimochiwa rokubari circulation??????

sounds like dark side of renai circulation lol

I almost want to make this my ringtone

the shot at would check out too... it always seemed out of place with the "sacrificing your individuality" theory, at least to me.

I JUST REALIZED THAT

It took me too many time to listen to this before I realized at he’s actually whispering the f^^k you that’s on screen and I just thought that kind of detail was *amazing*

proves my statement, it shows his regret and the feeling of being chained down by his decisions. Once he realized what he has done, he felt so wrong and ended up living with regret and the pain that bore along his actions. "I have finally gown up mama" is a symbolism to what he thought was the correct way to be an adult. In the ending we can see him recognizing the face of that person but ended up not saying anything.

からの和音アレンジめちゃおしゃれ、、、

" i long for the ideal that everyone wishes for" going along with the theme of fitting in and being adult like this most likely means living life for the purpose of getting money, going to college etc etc, again throwing away your personality and wishes ultimately to please others or fit in. the later line "i reduce my individuality and my emotions to ashes" supporting my earlier statement, i like to believe the figure in the video IS him mom literally. he does call her mama at the end.. i think its just about him trying to live up to what his mom wants, blending into the masses.. "kill your desires and ego, and bury them all underground"

'till finally

The suffering and pain he feels gets stronger and stronger. Eventually he snaps, he can't keep up this mask anymore which is why at he curls up and his clothes turn black, the suffering overwhelms him. The mask breaks at

you can see flashes of the main character in a VR headset. Something tells me the ending of this is more about a boy losing innocence in an attempt to become an adult to be given praise from an older woman (groomer), but that's just my interpretation. Lines like "no often means yes" and "considering this is your first time, you have a nack for this" while she's caressing him, idk just makes me think there's darker sexual subtext to this.

and then he says:"I have finally grown up mama".

.. turquoise often symbolized wisdom. in the mv the turquoise color seems to represent the expectations/ knowledge hes being fed.

「やったよママ」

@@SeventhListener Very interesting idea. Indeed, it seems like O is feeling something like regret and nostalgia to the M. Maybe M is the dead mother (because of her clothes, they look too worn out) of O. Could it be that he denies her existence, as of someone he knew? M also does seem like she's feeling proud of him. Maybe because of her teachings (will talk about it later)? Is M actually B, (they share the same colour palette) so they're both some people he used to know but now have passed away? And so maybe that's why B says that he was that serious looking person from before(if they're not dead)? And speaking of B, is B related to O in anyway? Maybe they are like alternatives egos. The opposite of blue is orange. And B has blue and black/grey colours meanwhile O has orange and black/grey. Maybe since O says that he always have to suppress his wants and ego, those feelings made a other personality or person out of his mind? So maybe he's not real. Like you said, he's invisible. Maybe M isn't real either. Since at , if you pause it at the right timing, it shows him with a VR gear and headphones. But I'm not sure what could that mean. Maybe his mom/M(?) died and by using simulations makes him feel better? Maybe he practices what the M taught him(explained later)? Or just stays inside his home closing himself off society? Maybe all the "reality" we see from his prospective is just the simulation he plays from the gear?

EDIT: I just noticed in again it shows O with the B and M colour palettes!? Could it be that B is actually him?! Or I'm just too excited?😂

Is that a ring at ?❤Loved the cover

and he's being his real self now and finally showing what's behind the mask. A person who is extremely depressed and miserable not at all eloquent and charming as his peers thought him to be. The facade he had is now completely shattered hence the broken plates and masks near the end of the song.

pause at the right moment and you’ll see goggles! (Tell me I’m seeing things, but that looks like Obito when he was a kid!)

random question: why in the flash is the guy wearing headphones and a vr headset?

x on , the guy's wearing headphones and some sort of eyewear (? I don't know what kind) and then it says *BITTER*

「ママ」

(1)

ここの上がってくハモりめっちゃ気持ちいい…

At the boy claims that he now remembers her saying 'you're that serious looking person from back then'. This plays on the perception children have of adults and them being 'serious'. As a child, he likely thought of society's demands and expectations to simply be 'serious looking'. However, when the boy turns around, he finally sees the society's real face that isn't covered up by a white cloth. And the person behind the mask is a corrupt looking person smiling at him cruelly.

AAAAAAAAAAA! HE LOOKS LIKE THAT GUY FROM OUTER SCIENCE!!!
